The theme of the final qualifying work is external and internal motivation as a predictor of the psychological well-being of the personnel of the medical clinic. The relevance of the research is related to the fact that at the moment the problem of external and internal motivation of the personnel of the medical clinic begins to acquire scientific and practical interest. This interest is caused by the fact that with satisfaction of the factors of internal motivation in a particular person, the interest to the work performed increases, and consequently the quality of work increases. In the absence of a sufficient level of satisfaction of internal motivation, the desire to meet the factors of external motivation is blocked, and consequently the psychological level of comfort in the workplace is reduced. The sample for this study was the staff of medical clinics, which was divided into categories depending on the position: doctors, nurses, management and administrative staff. A total of 280 respondents took part in the study. The following methods were used: the scale of psychological well-being (adaptive Zhukova), Desi-Ryan's questionnaire - satisfaction of basic needs (general and at work), job satisfaction questionnaire (chair of ergonomics and engineering psychology of St. Petersburg State University) and a questionnaire, demographic data: gender, age , level of education, etc. As a result of the research, it was possible to determine the factors of external and internal motivation of the personnel of medical clinics, determine the level of psychological well-being, determine the level of interrelation actors of external and internal motivation and psychological well-being, and to determine the differences in the expression of external motivation, internal motivation and psychological well-being in different categories of personnel in medical clinics, as well as differences in the level of psychological well-being of personnel in private and public clinics. As a result of the conducted research it was possible to reveal that the highest average indicator of motivation factors is the leading staff of the medical clinic, the lowest - the administrative staff. As a result of the conducted study to determine the difference in the expression of external motivation, internal motivation and psychological well-being of medical personnel in private and public clinics, it was
