The paper analyzes Cicero’s philosophical and pedagogical concept, which underlines the importance of educating novice politicians and the importance of educating citizens through politics. Cicero’s dialogue “About a State” is treated as a literary work which presents Cicero’s pedagogical ideas. Comparing and juxtaposing philosophy and politics, Cicero underlines the importance of education through culture, which according to Cicero includes politics, education and socialization.
